Hello, HCA Families!
We hope that this communication finds each of you staying cool and enjoying all the goodness and FUN that summer has to offer! As this email serves as the first official communication of the upcoming school year, we would like to officially welcome both our returning families as well as the many new families who are joining the HCA school community. We are thrilled to share some exciting updates with you as we begin to look forward to the start of the 2024-2025 school year at Hillsborough Christian Academy!
Building/Campus Facilities Updates
There are several projects around campus that need to be completed to ensure that our facilities are in tip-top shape before our students and staff return in August. We will be hosting a Campus Work Day on Saturday July 20th from 8am-12pm . Please mark your calendar and make plans to join us! We will provide coffee and donuts as well as a pizza lunch for all of our volunteers. Click the link here to sign up!

Update to our Student Academic Services Program (SAS)
We are expanding our Student Academic Services program for the 2024-2025 school year to provide tailored academic support. Certified faculty will offer 30-60 minute sessions 1-3 times a week, in collaboration with classroom teachers and school administration. The program, guided by an Academic Coach, focuses on students with specific needs in reading or math, based on IEPs, diagnoses, or teacher referrals. Support ranges from free entry-level accommodations to more intensive sessions, ensuring effective and targeted assistance for each student. Click here to download our program flier, which includes program options and costs. Parents of currently identified students will receive an invitation to enroll in the coming weeks. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
SAS program costs can be paid for using the ESA+ grant. Parents will have to upload the monthly invoice to ClassWallet for payment to HCA. Limited financial assistance is available for families that qualify for HCA Financial Aid.
**New for the 24-25 School Year!** The HCA Swag Bag!
As our student population (and cost for materials and services) continues to grow, we have reached a point where items that were formerly given to students free of charge must now incur a small fee to offset costs. Introducing the HCA Swag Bag! This OPTIONAL package will include an HCA drawstring bag, HCA school t-shirt, HCA 2024-2025 Yearbook, HCA water bottle, and a 24-25 Field Day t-shirt all for $60 (or $5 a month on your 12-month FACTS payment plan). This is the first opportunity for parents to order HCA gear for their students. The deadline for submitting your swag bag order is July 31st. The next opportunity for parents to order a Swag Bag for their students will be in August and will be due by September 1st.
My Hot Lunchbox
We are excited to continue our partnership with My Hot Lunchbox to provide an opportunity for parents to order meals for their students. This year we will have My Hot Lunchbox deliveries on three days! Stay tuned for final details concerning delivery days and partner vendors. Back to School Events
We are looking forward to welcoming students back on campus for another amazing school year! Please add the following important dates to your calendar:
Tuesday, August 6th, 5:00pm- New Student Orientation
New students and families are invited to attend this session as we share information about our school information systems, review student/parent handbooks, go over carline drop off and pick-up procedures, and answer any questions you may have. We will also share information about our PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship) and give parents the opportunity to join.
Thursday, August 8th, 4:00pm to 6:30pm- Meet the Teacher Night
Students and families are invited on campus to see their classrooms, meet their new teachers, and receive important information for the first day of school.
Sunday, August 11th, 10:45am- “Back to School Sunday”
Our partner in ministry, First Love Community Church, is hosting a special service to encourage our students and staff as we embark on a brand new school year! Make plans to join us for a special time of worship and a message from Mr. Bryan Turner, our Head of School.
Monday, August 12th- First Day of School!
We can’t WAIT to see everyone on the first day of school! Morning carline begins at 7:30 and ends at 7:55. Parents are welcome to walk their students in on the first day of school. Parents of TK and kindergarten students are welcome to walk their students to class the first week of school.

As HCA continues to grow and as we utilize our current staff in their giftedness and experience, we have openings for several positions on campus. We are currently welcoming applications and interviewing candidates for the following positions:
- Additional Assistant Principal
- Preschool Director/Preschool Teacher
- Academic Coach
- Upper Grades Teacher (Grades 6-12)
- Afterschool Program Director/Counselor
- Part-Time Music Teacher
- Substitute Teachers

2024-2025 Enrollment Information
We are continuing to accept applications and enroll students in grades TK-10th grade for the upcoming school year (limited seats available). We are thrilled for how our school continues to grow and are excited for all of the many wonderful things happening in our school community. We can’t wait to see everyone back here in August as we COME TO LIFE here at Hillsborough Christian Academy!
